Pelin Kirca completed her undergraduate studies in Graphic Design at Bilkent University and received her MFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts, New York. Her first solo exhibition was held at Dirimart in 2015, and in 2016 she attended Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School.
Her animated films have been screened at major international festivals, including Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Festival du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand, Vienna Shorts, Encounters Film Festival, London International Animation Festival, and Chicago Underground Film Festival. One Moonless Night was invited by Istanbul Modern to take part in the Artists’ Film International program initiated by Whitechapel Gallery in 2018.
Her recent projects include the solo exhibition The Crowd at Galeri Nev in Ankara (2023) and the exclusive release of her animated short The Crowd on MUBI (2025). Kirca currently lives and works in Ankara.
